Clara’s Country Cottage is simply but pleasingly decorated in an eclectic farmhouse and French Country “shabby chic” style, with many unique and well-worn pieces from days gone by. Three generations of our family will be your hosts. You never really know what you’ll find here, as we are constantly on a quest at antique shops, auctions, and out-of-the-way places…or even in our own cupboards…to find sweetly aged treasures. But our very best quality is our hospitality - we want our guests have an unforgettable experience while visiting with us!  

“Raechel’s Room”:  quaint daybed with vintage coverlet, evoking memories of long ago childhood with a display of whimsical playthings of yesteryear. There’s even a small chest of yes-you-can-touch -toys with which our youngest guests can amuse themselves, although the room is also well suited for one adult.  A private entrance also offers a spectacular view of rolling hills and wandering wildlife.

Cozy “Laurel’s Kitchen” is equipped with a full sized microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, cappuccino machine, toaster, dishes and accessories.  You'll enjoy a continental breakfast of fresh fruit, hearty granola, juice, milk, coffees, and teas before you embark on your day's adventures. When you return, pop a bag of popcorn, grab a soft drink, and sit outside on cool summer evenings to take in the sunset.

The bath is very roomy and simply decorated– shower, tub, and a few touches of our signature whimsy. Linens and special guest toiletry items provided.
